#6: Verse by verse bible study is DANGEROUS! Instead, pay attention to paragraphs. The scriptures originally did not have punctuation, sentences or verses. The translations formed the biblical authors thoughts into paragraphs which allows for modern readers to pick up on the main ideas. If you only study verse by verse, you may miss the main idea and inevitably transcribe your own ideas into the text which simply aren’t there.
