Bible Study Tip #09
#9: Don’t assume your translation is the “most accurate to the original text.” The original bible manuscripts [the “autographs”] have been lost to history. What we have are thousands of copies in part and whole of the originals that date extremely close to the early church. These copies have been compiled into master copies that credible translations use to produce their English copies. Again, use various mainstream translations in your bible study and don’t get caught up in the useless debate of which translation is most “accurate” 😉
