#13: The Bible is made up of three main literary genres: 43% Narrative (Story), 33% Poetry, and 24% Discourse (Instructional). Be able to recognize the differences because knowing what genre you are reading will help your interpretation. For example: The characters in the Bible are not always there to show us how to live!
